The 15th Annual 4Wheel Drive Hardware Jamboree Previewed

4Wheel Drive Jamboree

On what promises to be a festive weekend, 4WD will host its 15th annual 4Wheel Drive Hardware Jamboree in Columbiana, Ohio on September 27 and 28. This event, known for raising the enthusiasm level for off-roaders who come in from various parts of the United States and beyond, will kick off at nine o’clock that Friday morning. The festivities will conclude at about 7PM the following Saturday.

What happens in the interim is the great part: admission to the Jamboree is free with vendor exhibits and food and refreshments for visitors to enjoy. In addition, there will be special deals and giveaways on display at the Columbiana 4WD host location near State Route 14. On this Friday, there will be a DJ, Jeep trivia games, and prizes for those in attendance. At five o’clock that evening, there will be a Jeep Cruise in the 4WD parking lot that will last until 8PM. Concurrently, for those with other interests, there will be a Jeep Parade (the line-up will be at 5PM; the parade begins at 6PM).

On Saturday morning at eight o’clock, the Showroom, vendor exhibits, and food concessions will be open. There will be prize drawings all day long. Various events for all in attendance that day will include: the Mud Pit; Rock Crawl; and the Obstacle Course (Jeeps only); Show-n-Shine; Little Jeepers (for children). The Show-n-Shine judging will begin at 5PM with the winner to be announced at 6PM. This will be followed with a Grand Prize Drawing at 6:30PM and a 4WD Shopping Spree as the Jamboree closes at around seven o’clock.

“Our Jamboree has grown in not only attendance but also the footprint of the event,” 4 Wheel Drive Controller Pattie Keslar said. “The Jamboree continues to expand with new and exciting activities that use all available property to ensure we have fun-filled days for our customers.

“Our largest Jeep parade had over 300 vehicles, (and) we anticipate exceeding those numbers in 2013,” Keslar continued. “The interaction between employee and customer shows how much we love our Jeeps and builds an undeniable bond. This union has grown each year as the Jamboree develops and improves customer relations.”

The entrance to this event is on the backside of 4WD. Follow the signs along State Route 14 to the entrance through the industrial park. Well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome. Pet owners are required to clean up after their pets. No alcohol or glass bottles will be permitted on the property.
