Great design. Well thought out design on the spout. If you don't know, a blue can is for kerosene, not water. I learned this after ordering the can and it was shipped, but decided to keep it. It has a “Kerosene” label on one side. I use it for non-drinkable water, for radiator or washing hands after a trail fix. Because of what Wavian lines the can with to protect it from the fuels they are designed to carry, you can’t use their steel cans for drinking water. But they do make similar size/shape plastic water jugs that could also mount to a Jerry Can holder.
Very well constructed can. Spout is a very thought out design, locking toughly. With it's length with the addition of the gas spout adapter (included), it makes it easy to fill a Jeep YJ, where the tail light gets in the way of shorter spout cans.
From what I understand, these are the original NATO Military gas cans. I believe they are still using them. There's plenty of info out there on the integrity and strength of the Wavian cans with a simple google search. Nothing but good reviews everywhere. So of course I bought one... and I have to concur with the masses! It's one tough cookie... Fast flowing.. and looks great on my Jeep! Highly recommended!
