Can you replace the cable on this winch with a synthetic rope of 100 feet?
Asked by Chelle from on
Chelle, The steel cable in the Warn VR8000 Winch is able to be replaced with synthetic as long as the roller fairlead is replaced with a hawse fairlead. Please let is know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

I have a jeep Wrangler 2008JK i have a winch plate mounted already. what is the standard size bolt pattern? My fair lead bolt size is 10 inches and plate from front to back is 7 inches.. will this product fit?
Asked by gary from Newcastle De on
Hi Gary, Yes, this Warn winch, like most others, uses a 10" x 4.5" bolt mount pattern to fit properly on various brand bumpers and winch mount plates. Your plate measuring 10" by 7" will work fine. Thank you for the inquiry.

In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industrys first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
