The all-new WARN VR Series includes the VR8000, VR10000, and VR12000 with 8,000, 10,000, and 12,000 lb. capacities, respectively. All of these units feature series-wound motors for plenty of power; brakes that hold the full-rated load for great control while winching; three-stage planetary geartrains for speed, durability, and reliability; corded remote controls; and 94-feet of durable wire rope. All of these winches are backed by the WARN limited lifetime warranty, too.
It’s a Warn winch what else do you need to say? A Quality American product that you can depend on. I’ve owned several Wan’s over the years and they always have been there for me during the darkest hours. Cons: It’s heavy, like real heavy... but come on it’s a winch with a bunch of steel wire and a big electric motor with a steel housing, It’s going to be heavy!
Easy install, great sleek look, and most importantly, solid build construction with that Warn reliability
I can't say enough about this winch. It looks great and was not hard to install at all. I do not consider myself mechanically inclined. So if I can install it anyone can.Just make sure you go ahead and bolt the fairlead on first before you mount the winch to the winch plate and yes mount the winch to the plate before mounting the plate to the bumper saves a lot of time and effort. The synthetic rope gives it a tough look and you just cant beat it compared to stomping through a mud hole pulling 100ft of wire rope. I just got it so I hope it holds up.Anyone thinking about buying one go for it you want regret it.

Can you replace the cable on this winch with a synthetic rope of 100 feet?

In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industry's first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
