bought this for a toyota tacoma . used it numerous times from pulling folks out of ditches to pulling trees when cutting . It has never let me down.
I've used the M8000 hundreds of times by myself and on several Jeep Jamborees. It's mounted on a 2000 TJ. I literally owe my life to it, and I guarantee that it paid for itself within a few months. I've even pulled two Jeeps out of thick mud at one time (not recommended) and it had no trouble. After eight years of use, I had to get it fixed because solenoids needed replaced. It was very cheap to fix. By the time it needed help, it had been under water, mud and NW PA snow too many times to count. This winch is the best tool you can buy for off-road fun and safety. If anyone tells you it's not, they're lying to you.
can not keep water out of motor..you use it off roading if it gets any water at all motor quits.. have replaced 3 motors and still having problems.. need help
Good price with rebate. Can't wait to really use it
This is the second M8000 I've owned , first was sold with jeep , have used this one couple times and as usual will not let you down . Warn makes a great product .
This is a great winch for the price. Don't skimp on the winch and get a cheap model, when you need it you need a winch that is reliable and the Warn M8000 will do it!
I have this m8000 with the rampage recovery bumper on a 2006 rubicon and I need to know what mounting bracket I need. Any suggestions would be great Thanks Adam

Will this winch fit the bumper on a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Hard Rock Edition? If not what winch will fit? Jeep.com says bumper is winch capable.

Hi Seaapple, This Warn M8000 Self-Recovery Winch will fit great on the 2016 JK Hard Rock Edition, however you'll need the winch mount plate that Warn makes for it. I have a 2013 Wrangler sport. Can I mount this product on my factory bumper?
Asked by Steve from Wind Gap, PA on
Hi Steve You would need a winch mounting plate to use M8000 Self-Recovery Winch or any winch. The S/B2804 or the WAR88140 plate would work with a stock bumper. Thanks

In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industry's first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
