Steve, the Vertically Driven Products Windshield Header Channel will have to be removed completely when you put the hard top back on! I hope this helps you!

hi i have a california brief bikini top with the round end that goes bye the windshield will this windshield channel work with that top please let me know thank you

I'm not 100% sure which bikini top you are referring to, but as long as you have a 2003-2006 TJ Wrangler or Unlimited, this VDP Windshield Header Channel should do the job. Thanks!
