Fits inside of cup holder;Lid closes to keep trash contained;Quick and easy installation
It fits great in the rear cup holders of jeep and provides cup holders that are easier to reach. That being said, the trash compartment is shallow and very small. Does not hold more than a few things. Definitely not large enough to hold more that 1 soda can or bottle.
does exactly what it should...
For my 2009 JK, I had a Misch trash-stash that fit into the rear cup holders and loved it. When I bought 2012 JK, I knew I wanted the same product, but Misch does not make one to fit the 12 yet. So I went with the VDP. When the package arrived, my first thought was that it could not be the VDP since the package was small. I opened it up, and knew instantly that it would not work for me. It fit the vehicle fine, but the trash compartment was so small that all it takes is a few kleenex tissues and a candy bar wrapper to fill it up. Do not expect to any larger trash items in this.
Are the new side cup holders deeper than the original? The JK doesn't have the best original cup holders and taller cups/bottles fall over.

Hi njtex the VDP31500 has the same size cup holder as the stock jks. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Thanks,
