This tailgate security enclosure is a simple, two-piece design that creates a lockable storage trunk completely protected on all sides. It works in conjunction with the lockable vehicle tailgate to secure the trunk area created. The enclosure maintains the use and function of the rear seat. Quickly and easily installs with standard hand tools. The lid removes easily without the use of tools to allow for storage of large or tall items. Patent rights reserved. On vehicles with power door locks, arming the security alarm automatically disables the power door lock switches and ensures the tailgate and Tuffy enclosure are secure, even on softtop models or with the top removed. Patent pending.

3 Answered questionsWill this tailgate enclosure work with the rear seat recline kit installed? I know the deluxe enclosure will not but from the reviews I've read on this one there's about a 3" gap between this enclosure and the rear seats.

if the rear seat is folded down are the items inside the trunk still completely enclosed or does the rear seat in the up position complete the enclosure?

What is the difference between the TFY275-001 and the TFY299-001 Security Tailgate Enclosure?
