PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This tailgate security enclosure is a simple, two-piece design that creates a lockable storage trunk completely protected on all sides. It works in conjunction with the lockable vehicle tailgate to secure the trunk area created. The enclosure maintains the use and function of the rear seat. Quickly and easily installs using standard hand tools in conjunction with an OEM hardtop or softtop. The lid removes easily without the use of tools to allow for storage of large or tall items. On Jeep Wrangler TJ vehicles, the rear tailgate lock must be locked manually with the Jeep key in order for the Tuffy enclosure to function as a secure storage device.

Hi Kelly, This Tuffy Security Tailgate Enclosure has a removable lid, however it can't be removed with the tailgate shut and locked. Thanks for your inquiry.

I am looking for something for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition to have a locked secured area to stop valuable items. My jeep is a soft top and currently there is no place to secure items such as laptops purses money guns or such
