Designed to replace the plastic insert in original consoles, creating secure, locking storage while maintaining the look of the factory console. Some drilling required.
Original center console broken into twice while top off or vehicle left open. Last time it broke the corner where the lock was. This item installs inside securely anchoring from body to top lock while maintaining OEM look. I feel comfortable leaving small valuable items locked inside even while top off Jeep.
I have been looking for something durable to keep my gun in in my 2011 JK 2 door. No one makes a drawer for under the seat so I decided to give this a try. I am glad that I did. This unit was fairly easy to install. You do lose the little tray that folds over the original opening, but it is worth it for the lockable piece of mind. This took about 20 minutes to install. One great extra feature that really isn't mentioned is that when the door is open there is ample space for valuables (my Glock 19 9mm holstered fits in there fine) but there is also a ledge on the one side to put something like your wallet or phone, and that is locked in there too. I was afraid that I was just going to have this cavern in there to throw everything in to. I would highly recommend this product for it durability, functionality, and value for the price.
This product is being used to store my 9mm in a Jeep Wrangler. The fit is perfect. The security is wonderful. Someone could still break into the box but it would take time they don't want to spend. With the arm rest down there is no way to see the security box. Out of sight, out of mind. My Jeep has heated seats so the under the seat lock box was not an option.
Great console liner, adds some extra piece of mind for your valuables. The extra security feature (bolts thru the floor)are problematic. You would have to drill through multiple layers at an angle to get them installed. I just omitted that feature. Overall very useful accessory.
Will this product fit my 1997 Jeep Wrangler SE manual transmission?
