What is the thickness?
What is meant by tapered?
I am wondering if I can use this on 3500 lb trailer axle with 1.75 inch wide springs.

PBR, the Tuff Country Axle Lift Blocks are 1.5" thick. They are tapered to correct the pinion angle on the axle after lifting the vehicle. As for lifting a trailer, I would go with a non tapered block like the one located here: http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Suspension/1-5-Lift-Blocks.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=101&t_pt=5539&t_pn=R/ERE1260 Hope this helps!

These are universal right.
Will they work on a 1994 GMC Sonoma?

Juss, the Tuff Country Axle Lift Blocks are basically universal. They are made for a 2.5" wide spring. So as long as your leafs are 2.5" wide, then this will work. Hope this helps!
