Kit seemed attractive on website. Unfortunately, the description leaves out a few key facts. The kit needs a few additional parts in order be installed properly (ex. Slip yoke eliminator, driveshaft, etc). I bought kit and had it installed by 4wd Hardware Store. While my Jeep was at store having kit installed, I was informed that I would require listed additional parts at an additional cost of $1200. Including the kit, additional parts, and labor it cost $2200. At that price it is better to purchase a more expensive all inclusive kit and install it yourself if you can. I will say 4wd Hardware customer service is excellent. I just wish I had known more detail about the kit before I purchased it. Next time I will do more research before purchase as should anyone reading this review.
Just got the lift installed and it looks and drives GREAT. Only issue I had with the lift is that the instructions were a little off for some things. They tell you to re-use the front sway bar links but they're too short, so wound up using the old rear ones. Nothing too bad just left you scratching your head sometimes. Other than that I've got 0 complaints.
i have a 2008 jk, I got right at 5" with this lift, got 35s and they look small..mabey when I add bumpers it will go down some.. ride is a little stiff, only 500mi on it, mabey get better..

i bought this for my CJ7 and was a little worried that it was going to be super stiff due to the fact that i was one of the least expensive kits i could find. installation: Everything went on super smooth extended brake lines are needed. the only problem i had was it came with a drop pit man arm for a power steering box and not the manual as requested. I called 4wd and they shipped me out the right pitman arm that day for free. i even got to keep the other pitman arm. i am running on stock shackles so you may be able to get more from this kit by upgrading the shackles. riding: I rode on it for about 4 weeks with the sway bar and the ride was smother than my 30 year old springs. flex: this past weekend i took the sway bar off and tried her out. well i was pretty impressed the wheels were moving up and down more than I could tell. we hit a few part where i was able to take some sweet pictures. i never got stuck and maintained pretty good traction all the way through.
I purchased this lift for my "Cheap Jeep" I was pleasantly surprised with this lift. It was very simple to install (as most leaf lifts are) and Ride quality is MUCH better than expected, Ride quality is much better than my friends YJ's (One has a Rancho and the other has a Rough country lift) It's a little noisy but I expect it to quiet down a bit after we log some miles and get everything loosened up. The only thing I did not care for was the finish quality on the springs. Ill keep my fingers crossed that everything holds up.
Great lift you can buy for the money your spending. It would help if the instructions were clarified better or maybe even if the parts were labeled a little better. Not to bad an install took my brother in law and me about 7 hours to do it, that is including the time it took to distinguish the parts the instructions tried to describe.
I installed this kit on my wife's '01 TJ. Overall it's pretty straight foward. The directions are good until you get to the shifter drop bracket. It took me awhile to figure that out. It's the "I" shaped bracket bolted to the driver side of the trans tunnel. I also stripped the threads out of two of the nut inserts for the trans skid plate/cross member. Also there is no mention of how to re-attach the front track bar to the axle housing. I decided to drill a new hole. Also make sure that the front stabilizer link bolts don't conflict with the frame when you lower the vehicle to the ground. Other than those couple items the job goes as planned. It's just nuts and bolts. Take your time and be safe.
is going with the cheaper kits worth it.You usually get what you pay for.

Does this kit include two track bar relocation brackets? It shows two brackets in the picture that I assume are the track bar brackets. I'm familiar with the rear relocation bracket, but is one for the front included as well or will this kit require that I drill another hole in the factory track bar mount?
