Trail Master suspension systems are uniquely designed to allow vehicles to take on the most extreme off-road trails, yet remain quiet and dependable for everyday driving. To do this, we design our systems to limit excessive wear and tear on factory ball-joints, steering components and reduce noise and vibrations. Making sure everything is durable and reliable is why our suspension systems include items such as, high-grade alloy steel- tube control arms, Flex-joint bushing technology, precision laser cut bolt-holes, CNC machined spindles, CNC press-brake formed brackets, and much more. Our suspension systems also come complete with everything required to properly raise your vehicle without having to order or purchase extra components. Find out why more people prefer a quality Trail Master Suspension, than other suspension kits on the market.
Recently purchased this 4 inch lift kit , liked everything except the rear shocks had to turn them upside down because they hit the rear axle and would not line up. So I turned them upside down... a little Stiffer ride then I Anticipated anticipated . But all and all no regrets
Kit seemed attractive on website. Unfortunately, the description leaves out a few key facts. The kit needs a few additional parts in order be installed properly (ex. Slip yoke eliminator, driveshaft, etc). I bought kit and had it installed by 4wd Hardware Store. While my Jeep was at store having kit installed, I was informed that I would require listed additional parts at an additional cost of $1200. Including the kit, additional parts, and labor it cost $2200. At that price it is better to purchase a more expensive all inclusive kit and install it yourself if you can. I will say 4wd Hardware customer service is excellent. I just wish I had known more detail about the kit before I purchased it. Next time I will do more research before purchase as should anyone reading this review.
I purchased this lift for my "Cheap Jeep" I was pleasantly surprised with this lift. It was very simple to install (as most leaf lifts are) and Ride quality is MUCH better than expected, Ride quality is much better than my friends YJ's (One has a Rancho and the other has a Rough country lift) It's a little noisy but I expect it to quiet down a bit after we log some miles and get everything loosened up. The only thing I did not care for was the finish quality on the springs. Ill keep my fingers crossed that everything holds up.
Great for a Weekend Warrior on a Budget.
Does this kit come with new shackles? If so, are they boomerang shackles?
Asked by Daniel from Oklahoma on
Daniel, the Trail Master 4.0 Inch Lift Kit with NGS Shocks - Power Steering does not come with new shackles. If you want boomerang shackles, you can find them here: http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Lift-Kits-Jeep-Lift-Kits-Suspension/Rear-Boomerang-Shackles.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=101&t_pt=8660&t_pn=CURCE-9081. I hope this helps!

I would like to instll this lift on to a 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ Renegade. My main concern is whether or not I will be required to modify the tail shaft assembly?... Once the lift is installed, will the jeep need a slip yoke eliminator and Or an extended CV type drive shaft in order to operate properly?
Asked by Britt from Covington LA on
Hey Britt, the Trail Master 4.0 Inch Lift Kit with NGS Shocks - Power Steering does come with a transfer case drop kit which in most cases does eliminate the need for a sye and cv driveshaft. With that said all Jeeps do act differently with the same lift so there is still a small chance that a sye and cv driveshaft will be needed. Thanks for your question.

Would I need a brake line drop for this lift? Or is just recommended but not needed necessarily? Also would I need to lengthen or drop down the transfer case and automatic transmission shifting arms?
Asked by Ryan from Aliquippa, pa on
Ryan, the Trail Master 4.0 Inch Lift Kit with NGS Shocks - Power Steering includes a t-case drop so there is no need to buy anything extra for that. As far as the brake lines I would highly recommend the extended lines or at least the extension brackets to avoid blowing a brake line when you are out wheeling. Hope this helps!
