The TrXus Mud Terrain is Interco's answer to the need of those who want a smooth, super quiet ride with tough, thick sidewalls with a chip and cut resistant compound. This tire has more siping than any other mud terrain on the market; which has proven to be almost magical in icy snowy conditions. These same traction features make this tire a serious rock climber. Each TrXus Mud Terrain tire has its individual specifications and is heavier than the original equipment tires of comparable size. Many brands of tires are made from generic specifications which means there are many inchbrand names inch coming out of a particular factory but all the tires have a common specification basic body or casing. The only difference is the mold the tire is cured in. The tires will have different tread designs but the body of the tire is common to many others of the same size but under various names.
I've had these tires on my TJ for about 5.5 years, and drive them in the snow regularly. They do great in the snow and off-road in the mountains. I'm surprised at how quiet they are compared to most other tires I've had on my TJ, especially considering how big the lug spacing is. They are a bit heavier than others, but the thick sidewalls are great when rocks take a chunk out of them. Great tires, plan to buy another set soon. I've got the 33x12.5R16 tire on the Rubicon rims with 1.5" spacers.
I started off in 1986 with 38's TSL's then went to TSL 42 . Then in 2005 I got a pair of Trxus M/T radials 38.5's and got 45 thousand mile's out of them till they got to dry rotted to be safe but they are 13 year's old just saying the only tire to buy . Just got new Trxus M/T 37 to replace the 38.5's I am getting old that's why I went with a smaller tire one size .
After having several sets of Interco tires in both bias and radial designs I bought these to go on my full-size Bronco and they are amazing. Quiet and smooth on pavement with just a slight hum at 60mph. They do not hydroplane even at higher speed and deep water. They also were incredible in this year's snow and ice....the first mud terrains I've owned that didn't cause any "pucker factor" when having to drive in cold, icy, and snowy conditions. Off road they work really well on rock without having to air way down. They also do really well in mud and clean well if you keep your wheel speed up. It doesn't do as well as a TSL or LTB in really deep mud but it also rides better on the highway,is lighter, and balances better. They aren't as loud either, but I've always loved the hum of a Super Swamper. I've got 20,000 miles on mine and with rotations every 5,000 miles and checking the air pressure once a week, they don't have any percievable wear. My tread depth guage shows 17/32 so I should get 40,000 miles out of them doing my part. This is the only mud terrain I will buy from here on out.
i use these tires on both my 1990 F-350 & My 1972 F-250 & i have been very happy with there over all performance
Great tire for use as a daily driver with weekend off-roading
I have a set of 31x10:50's on my Jeep Wrangler. Have 33,000 plus miles on these. Have had one flat (my fault). They are great in all terrains: mud, sand, snow & highway. I have recommended these to several of my friends.
What is the ideal wheel size for this tire size?

Sean, The Super Swamper Tires 31x10.50R15LT, TrXus MT Radial is perfect for a 15" wheel that is 8" wide or less. I wouldn't go any wider than 8" because you run the risk of ballooning the tire and could pop the bead in evasive maneuvering. Hope this helps!

The Super Swamper Tires off-road line includes the Super Swamper M16 tire, with 24 sizes, the Narrow Super Swamper, with 3 sizes, and the Super Swamper Radial which comes in 42 sizes. Super Swamper Tires are unusually round. So they work well on the trail but are still able to give a smooth ride on the pavement. The tires have six tread piles which cushion the bumps and shakes of the road. They also have low rolling resistance so they won't tax fuel economy. And up to 35 miles per hour they are not any louder than everyday tires. Super Swampers are manufactured by the Iterco Tire Corporation, known for making killer off-road tires for rock crawling (IROK), mudding (The Bogger) and tough trail running (TSL/SX).
