The Super Swamper IROK ND is a non-directional tread design version of the famous IROK but still has the same performance characteristics. The IROK ND uses the same famous Three Stage Lug design, scooped lugs, blade and molded siping, tighter lug pattern and sidewall traction features combined to give a smooth comfortable ride.
My dad put a set on his 91 Toyota pickup and loves them. We're about to pick up another set. They do great in mud and ride smooth down the highway. The hum isn't bad. We put 6oz of balancing beads in each tire, smooth as silk. He only got about 20k miles out of them but his truck has 5.38 gears and lunchbox lockers front and rear. And he also ran too much tire pressure for the first 10k miles or so. Can't beat them for the price!
looks are decieving the pictures of these tires dont do them justice they arrived and i was like they are not that agressive looking then went and had them mounted whole nother story they really look good make my truck look like a truck after i had them mounted we had a bad thunder storm and they did great on wet pavement helped a friend on his farm same evening so everything was good and muddy and they cleaned out great they have a good hum going down the pavement but i like it they are swampers if you want quiet buy all terrains or highway tires
Bought to go on sons 4x4 pickup.
Worst tires ever made. All I buy are MTs because I like them. I have owned firestone destination MTs and Maxxis Buckshots. Happy with both of those but not these. I lke tires that are good on and off road. These Tires aren't even that great off road and terrible on road. I will be lucky to get 6k miles out of them, they cup on a brand new vehicle with 20k on it. They make horrific noise and vibrate like crazy doesn't matter how they are balanced. Just absolute junk.
First off: 4wd customer service people have been awesome!!! 4wd employees have been very helpful and johnny on the spot with answers regarding my questions and concerns... 2nd to none in my mind, so THANK YOU very much 4wd.com!!! 1800 miles on these 285/70/17's. Not one tire of the 5 balanced due to being out of round. I was told by Interco originally that it was 1/300 odds to have just one like that. 2 shops couldn't get it done and both had the same answer (bad tires). Both shops regularly install aggressive MT's too, so its not new to them. 1.5 months later and numerous customer reports apparently and Interco has changed their opinion. Now Interco wants me to cut sections of each of the tires off to send back to them for warranty purposes. Who has time/energy for that??? I was told they don't need "the whole tire" back just sections of the sidewall and tread. What a ridiculous process for their own manufacturing mistakes. Manufacturing oops' happen, don't make the customer who willingly bought your product pay for your mistakes.
So, i wrote an awesome review and my phone ran out of batteries , hence deleting my review. So here goes the abridged version: I personally got everything I was after. I wanted the most offroadability (if that's a word) out of my 08 silverado 4x4, on a Budget! This meant a cheap 2" front level kit and a call to 4wd.com. My truck used to handle like a cadillac, now like a duece and a half! Its loud. The tires are almost as loud as the thrush muffler. When decelerating on an offramp, they are louder. To some people this is bad, not so for me. What these tires offer in return is much greater than any noise I can do without. I off road my truck. This does not mean I'm taking it over bouders or getting it into body panel crunching scenarios. It does mean my truck sees a lot of muddy paths (if you want to call them that) and even a bit of snow every year. The snow is for the most part managable , however the mud can be like soup at times. I dont believe there is another more capable tire in 285/70 17 than the swamper irok nd for my needs. Weighing in at over 60lbs a piece, i really appreciated the free shipping. I was on a budget, needed a tire that can hack off road, and thanks to 4wd.com, I got exactly what i was after.
Bought these for my plow/wood hauling truck. Great in snow.
Tire is quiet on highway the irok ND are rotatable self cleaning tread works very well in mud and the aggressive side walls grip rocks like no other!! Awesome tire
These tires are great on my plow truck. I love the price.
I have only driven about 200 miles with these on my 05 Sequoia Limited. All four balanced with no issues. They have a little hum on asphalt. They will reduce fuel mileage. I added a 3 inch level and these and have lost 3 mpg but that is not why i bought these tires. I'll try to update when i mile them out. 4wd had the best price i could find with free shipping.
On a lighter vehicle like a Jeep LJ, what is the expected mileage/lifetime? Any issues with failed belts like the Truxs tires?

Mr Geocacher to You, the Super Swamper Tires 265/75R16LT, IROK ND will get around 25-30K miles out of them. As for broken belts, no issues so far with these. Hope this helps!

I had these tires on my truck once and had a blowout on the back right tire. Im wondering if it is because of they ply or what. Any suggestions on to try these again? They were great in mud just didnt wanna trust them after blowout.
Asked by Jared R. from Brunswick,Ga on
Jared R, the Super Swamper Tires 285/75R16LT, IROK ND is a load range D tire which is an 8 ply tread surface. If you overload them then it is possible you can experience a blowout. Hope this helps!

The Super Swamper Tires off-road line includes the Super Swamper M16 tire, with 24 sizes, the Narrow Super Swamper, with 3 sizes, and the Super Swamper Radial which comes in 42 sizes. Super Swamper Tires are unusually round. So they work well on the trail but are still able to give a smooth ride on the pavement. The tires have six tread piles which cushion the bumps and shakes of the road. They also have low rolling resistance so they won't tax fuel economy. And up to 35 miles per hour they are not any louder than everyday tires. Super Swampers are manufactured by the Iterco Tire Corporation, known for making killer off-road tires for rock crawling (IROK), mudding (The Bogger) and tough trail running (TSL/SX).
