Junk tires

Worst tires ever made. All I buy are MTs because I like them. I have owned firestone destination MTs and Maxxis Buckshots. Happy with both of those but not these. I lke tires that are good on and off road. These Tires aren't even that great off road and terrible on road. I will be lucky to get 6k miles out of them, they cup on a brand new vehicle with 20k on it. They make horrific noise and vibrate like crazy doesn't matter how they are balanced. Just absolute junk.

Must read for the future!!!!!

First off: 4wd customer service people have been awesome!!! 4wd employees have been very helpful and johnny on the spot with answers regarding my questions and concerns... 2nd to none in my mind, so THANK YOU very much 4wd.com!!! 1800 miles on these 285/70/17's. Not one tire of the 5 balanced due to being out of round. I was told by Interco originally that it was 1/300 odds to have just one like that. 2 shops couldn't get it done and both had the same answer (bad tires). Both shops regularly install aggressive MT's too, so its not new to them. 1.5 months later and numerous customer reports apparently and Interco has changed their opinion. Now Interco wants me to cut sections of each of the tires off to send back to them for warranty purposes. Who has time/energy for that??? I was told they don't need "the whole tire" back just sections of the sidewall and tread. What a ridiculous process for their own manufacturing mistakes. Manufacturing oops' happen, don't make the customer who willingly bought your product pay for your mistakes.

285/70 17 irok nd (non directional)

So, i wrote an awesome review and my phone ran out of batteries , hence deleting my review. So here goes the abridged version: I personally got everything I was after. I wanted the most offroadability (if that's a word) out of my 08 silverado 4x4, on a Budget! This meant a cheap 2" front level kit and a call to 4wd.com. My truck used to handle like a cadillac, now like a duece and a half! Its loud. The tires are almost as loud as the thrush muffler. When decelerating on an offramp, they are louder. To some people this is bad, not so for me. What these tires offer in return is much greater than any noise I can do without. I off road my truck. This does not mean I'm taking it over bouders or getting it into body panel crunching scenarios. It does mean my truck sees a lot of muddy paths (if you want to call them that) and even a bit of snow every year. The snow is for the most part managable , however the mud can be like soup at times. I dont believe there is another more capable tire in 285/70 17 than the swamper irok nd for my needs. Weighing in at over 60lbs a piece, i really appreciated the free shipping. I was on a budget, needed a tire that can hack off road, and thanks to 4wd.com, I got exactly what i was after.

Great tire so far

I have only driven about 200 miles with these on my 05 Sequoia Limited. All four balanced with no issues. They have a little hum on asphalt. They will reduce fuel mileage. I added a 3 inch level and these and have lost 3 mpg but that is not why i bought these tires. I'll try to update when i mile them out. 4wd had the best price i could find with free shipping.

Dont buy

Tried 2 different tire shops to balance. Tried weights and balance bags... Totally undriveable over 40mph. Tires were not round and none would balance.

I have a 2001 Ford F150 4x4 with stock rims and 265(or 260)/70/17 tires, do you think these tire will fit?

Asked by Fridge74 from Spanish Fort, AL on

Fridge74, the Super Swamper Tires 285/70R17LT, IROK ND may fit but they might give you a little bit of rubbing at full steering lock. You can just adjust the steering stops to avoid that. Hope this helps!

I have a 98 chevy silverado i have 265/70R17s on it right now will these tires fit on my truck without rubbing on my inner wheel welds when turning

Asked by Jacob from on

Hey Jacob, the Super Swamper Tires 285/70R17LT, IROK ND are one inch taller and one inch wider than your 265/70/17 tires. You should have no problems fitting these on your truck but you might want to check your clearance first. Make sure you have an inch extra clearance all the way around. Thanks for your question.
