The rear bumper is manufactured out of 3/16 inch cold rolled steel and comes standard with a built in class III receiver hitch and two solid d-ring mounts that are welded on the inside and out for maximum strength.
I called after ordering this bumper and a front bumper asking if this would fit the xrc tire carrier. Everything on this page said it would fit. But over the phone they verified that it will not. Didn't put it on my rig. But looks solid and it was free. Lol.
Just going to give a few heads up for anyone looking to buy. 1. expect install to take an entire day. 2. Bumper with tire adds over 300lbs so your suspension will sag more in the rear. 3. Jerry can holder does not fit a real Jerry can. go figure. 4. Don't expect to hear back from Smittybilt if you have any concerns. 5. hi-lift jack does not fit vertically like shown in the picture but fits horizontal across the top bar. 6. watching the rear tire bounce back and forth while driving down the highways makes me wonder how strong the latch is that holds the tire carrier shut. 7. hitch receiver dimensions are off. You may have to hammer the hitch receiver in and out. SO far the bumper still looks good and serves a purpose, the price was great compared to other brands. My main discontent was that after writing the company about my concerns with the jerry can holder I have never heard back from them and its been over a month.
Eventually mounted up very well. Would have been easier if I'd thrown the instructions out the window on the way home from picking up the bumper/carrier. Lay out all the parts, try to distinguish what the part numbers are, and maybe label them through elimination. There is an unmentioned smaller bolt packet, I'm assuming meant for the LEDs. Those have no instructions as far as mounting and wiring to a Jeep. Some of the steps are in poor order, especially if mounting the tire carrier as well. Leave everything loose until it's time to line up the tailgate bracket to the bumper.
Is there an option for swing out tire carrier for that bumper
