The SRC Classic Side Protection With Step is designed for maximum protection and clearance. They directly bolt up to factory holes - Body Mount installation, No Drilling required! Each set of SRC Classic Sides are available for 2 and 4 door Wranglers, which include welded end caps. They definitely complement the front and rear bumpers.
These looks great on my Jeep. I bought them to replace the Rubicon sliders because I wanted something that would double as a rock slider and a step for the wife and son. These are perfect for mall crawling. They help my wife reach the soft top to help me fold the cloth when we go topless. But they are NOT for off-road use and have no business being called a rock slider. The first rock I came in contact with crushed the outside of the tube and creased the back 2 feet of the slider. They still hold my weight when I stand on it but another couple rocks and these will be toast. The bottom line... I would recommend these to friends who don't do any offroading. They look great and function as a step. I would steer my friends who actually wheel their Jeep away from these though.
This product was easy to install and for a budget Jeep guy like me this is right on the money! Plus it looks really good.
Great
Nice product, but wish it had been clearly stated where it was made. I would have kept looking for a made in the USA product.
Cheaper than buying used Rubin Rails and the end caps are welded!
Driver's side had two bent mounting tabs that made installation a bit of a wrestling match for one person. Passenger side bolted right up, though. Great as rock rails with a relatively usable step built in. I really like the high and tight design; they aren't too obvious or over the top looking.
2013 Wrangler Looks good, easy install however I had to buy some some bolts and washers to complete the install. (M8-125-25MM) I am very happy with the product.
If you are looking for traditional Rubicon-style rock rails at less than 1/2 the price of original factory parts, then this is the way to go. However, the hardware (bolts, washers) did not fit my 2012 Wrangler Sport and I had to come up with my own so be prepared. For me it was a minor inconvenience, but would expect Smittybilt to addresses this issue in the future.
Can these be used with the existing stock rock rails that hug the bottom of the. It looks like they do not use the same holes looking at the rails.

Hey JR, the Smittybilt SRC Classic Sides with Step will not work with the stock rails. None of the aftermarket products will work with the stock rails. Thanks for your question.

Does this come as a pair? Is there a rail for both sides? I have a 2013 Wrangler.
