Protect your spare tire from UV rays, and road grime. Made of colored fabrics to coordinate with Smittybilt's other soft goods.
I mounted the product, and it does cover my spare tire, so props. However, it is a poor fit, I've got a LOT of slack that had to be taken out (via the cheaply made draw-cords) and due to the funky overlap design, no matter how the cover is oriented, it will catch all manner of water, snow, leaves, squirrels, and debris. All in all, you get what you pay for. A decent "first" tire cover, but when you spring for new rubber, spring for a higher quality cover.
EASY TO INSTALL FIT GOOD
Great heavy duty spare tire cover. True to size for a 33" tire. Don't know, but would be stretching it to fit a 35". Great materials looks awesome, easy to install. Should provide years of service.
Very good tire cover, but wish it had elastic cording around the edge instead of a pull string. It was hard to get around the tire and tucked in securely. But, it looks good and protects the spare tire on the back of my jeep.
Great price and is a durable tire cover.
I chose the one without any logo, so it's plain, but does a great job of protecting my spare from the elements and looks good too!
The cover material appears to be high quality but that is where the good part ends. 1. This cover is way too large for a 30" tire. 2. The tire comes with a cord and cord-lock to secure the cover to the tire and wheel. 3. The cord is low-quality; I broke it on the first attempt to tighten the cover sufficiently to keep it on the tire. 4. The cord-lock is useless for securing the cord. Overall, the design was poor and the method and parts for securing the cover were less than I expected from Smittybilt. Conclusion: Buy a cover made for your exact tire size. I made this cover work but I wouldn't buy it again.
There is an old saying: "You get what you pay for". This is certainly true with the Smittybilt tire cover. Out of the box it looked "cheap". It does the job, but the tie strap system is a joke. It's hard to get full tension on it and take up the slack to make it fit the tire snug, and then when you do you end up with two feet of string dangling around. Why couldn't they use a simple elastic cord like the Mopar covers? It gets the job done, but it definitely is a [$] dollar cover.
Product description does not state tire width for fitment. 32" diameter is fine, but will it fit 11.5" tire width?
