I don't want the rack to stick out too far from the tire. Is there anything I can do to customize this.

Brad, the Smittybilt I-Rack Intelligent Rack can be slid in or out to fit different wheels and tires. So you can use that to control how far it will protrude from the wheel. Hope this helps!

I am currently running AEV Savegre wheels (including spare) on my 2012 JK 2-door. I've got a Smittybilt XRC rear bumper with swing gate. Will the I-Rack fit?

Do both square piping parts need to go inside center of wheel? Ours came through the back of wheel fine and the piping welded onto back of rack slides over the first but only slides up to our wheel, not inside it. So when we pin the two together with the twist bolt the rack sticks out about 10" from wheel?

Red, The tube welded to the Smittybilt I-Rack Intelligent Rack is not supposed to go into the wheel. I t does stick out kind of far to make it universal with all sizes of wheels and tires. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
