Yes the Smittybilt Hood Kit is paintable, but let us stress that the quality of the finish in painting is all in preparation. If you prep and spray the hood kit correctly it will work and look great. Take your time and prep the kit correctly for an excellent finish. Thanks.

Is this product polished stainless steel or black powder coated? Between the website and product catalog, not very clear.

That piece that looks like a grill is actually for the cowl vent. If you look at the picture of the red Jeep it is right below the passenger windshield wiper.
