Skyjacker has the performance shocks you need for your on or off-road vehicle. The performance components of these shocks respond to the on-and off-road conditions instantly. Whether you are going over rough or smooth terrain, the true velocity sensitive valving produces better handling, improved stability, and maximum comfort
Put these on my lifted Jeep when I put the lift on 10 years ago. Just put on another set after about 80,000 miles on the first set. For me they work really well off-road and are passable on the blacktop. And, they last well for what they are.
Been using it over a year now, still got a hard as rock ride!
I put these on hoping all the comments about them being soft were correct. They were not. :( It's possible Skyjacker re-valved them to be stiffer at some point due to "too soft" complaints, as there's no way someone could thing these are soft. My LJ is mostly stock, with a 1-2" lift. It weighs about 4100 lbs without me in it. These shocks are really stiff. I was unhappy with OME Nitrocharger Sport shocks for the same reason. These shocks are softer than the OME's on compression, but at least as stiff, if not stiffer on rebound. So the ride is about the same. :( I want the suspension to WORK when I'm offroad, and instead these stiff shocks force the body to follow the axle and beat the wee out of you. Pretty typical for aftermarket shocks, really. If your jeep is loaded down with 500+ lbs of bumpers/skids/armor/junk then these might ride a little better, but they should NOT be advertised as softride shocks IMO. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a set of old OME Nitrochargers with the "comfort" valving. Those were great shocks!!!
can put skyjacker 7000 on my 1988 jeep Comanche pioneer with out a life kit

Hi Wally Yes the Softride Hydro Shock H7016 will work on the front. You would need H7023 for the rear. Thanks

I'm here trying to gather information being that I am new to Jeeps. Is this product just for offroad use? I have a 99wj Grand Cherokee Laredo V6

Hey ViperousWaif, the Skyjacker Softride Hydro Shock Absorber will be more of a on road shock but can be used offroad also. Thanks for your question.

I plan on lifting my '04 WJ about 3". Will these fit? If not, what length shock should I look for?
Asked by Corey from on
Corey, the Skyjacker Softride Hydro Shock Absorber is for the front of a WJ with a 3" lift. The rear part number you would be looking at is H7023. I hope this helps!
