Its hard to see from the picture, does the storage compartment have a lid? or is it open?

Hi Davis There is no lid on the Overhead Storage Console the items go in the open oval holes you see in the picture. Thanks

How much weight will it hold. Can a cb radio be mounted to the center?

Hello, It would be a custom drilling application but yes it will hold a cb. As for weight I wouldn't exceed 20 pounds just to be on the safe side. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask, Thank you.

Mickey Wheels, this Rugged Ridge Overhead Storage Console has 2 openings and they measure 15" wide x 1.5" tall and 6.5" deep at the deepest point.
