Protect your windshield and hood from flying debris and bugs with this durable Rugged Ridge Hood Bug Deflector. Constructed of durable shatter resistant smoked acrylic, this bug shield is designed to last the test of time. Installation is easy using double-sided tape and under hood screws. Minor drilling required.
Looks great, very happy with the product.
Looks great on my 2012 black jeep Wrangler . It also does reduce Bugs splattered on my windshield. The only downfall is it creates some wind flap On the soft top at higher speeds .
Fit was great, finish matched stock trim well enough, doesn't bend or bounce at hwy speeds, but as far as deflecting bugs, well not so much..... the concentration of spatters seem to have moved up a bit though?
I really like the matt finish instead of the smoke or gloss, it matches my fenders and bumpers
I bought the Bug Deflector by Rugged Ridge. Installed it. Was defictive. Call 4WD to send it back, becauce I didn't want it any longer and they sent me another. They said that they could not take it back becouse I installed it. How do you know it wraped before? The deflector make the drive very noisy if you drive with a soft top. Have not tried w/hard top.
Semi-translucent, smoke-black plastic guard, attached to the underside of the hood with two-sided tape (pre-attached to the guard). Installed in moments and allowed it to set up while I worked on another part of the Jeep, and it was ready to go. Looks like it's an OEM part on my black '98 Wrangler.
First bug shield was defective but replacement and return postage was sent quickly. Happy with product and customer service.
Nice product. Easy installation.
The price was reasonable but the ends of the deflector are shaped different. One end is lays closer to the hood and one end turns up more.
It states that it will fit a 2015 Jeep Rubicon, but when I check the vehicle compatibility it states it will not fit a 2015 Rubicon. Which is correct? I do have the MOPAR Power Dome Hood
