Hey Jane, the Rugged Ridge Standard Front Bucket Seat is around 3.5 inches thick. 1997 to 2002 TJ Wranglers require seat adapters RUG13201.11 and RUG13201.12. Thanks for your question.

Barbara, the Rugged Ridge Standard Rear Seat has a shipping width of 35" so that should be about right for the size of this seat. Hope this helps!
