These Hinge Treatment Covers are a direct bolt on over the existing hinges with out harming your expensive paint.
Hinges fit good but the holes on the hinges were not counter sunk like the stock ones. I guess thats why they gave you hardware. Also had to file the hinge pins down to make them fit the hinges on the Jeep. All in all with the free shipping it was worth it.
These hinges are very well made and they look GREAT! The only problem I found was getting the doors to line back up.. Take your time and be sure to mark the edge of your current hinge before you remove them. This will make putting on the new hinge on much easier. I figured this out by door #2. I didn't mark the first door and it took some time getting it to line back up correctly..
On the 2008 Jeep Wrangler, it takes a T-50 Torx socket to remove the fasteners. What type of fastener is used on this hinge cover?
