Rugged Ridge provides the most comprehensive replacement Fender Flare program on the market today. Covering model years starting in 1955 until current, Rugged Ridge has you covered when it is time to replace or upgrade your Factory Fender Flares. Each flare is constructed of virtually indestructible, durable, UV treated thermoplastic to provide years of service. This special UV Treatment prevents the flare from turning that un-sightly gray chalky color. Each replacement flare is designed to fit into your factory mounting holes (some models may require some hole relocation) for ease of installation. *Will NOT fit Sahara models.
Easy install of flares. Hardest part was removal of old ones. New flares do not use all of the original holes and flare nuts. Fit to the body was good.
Great fit. Just like factory original
These were the least expensive ones I could find. I read the instructions about having to drill on the YJ. Was not expecting some of the issues removing the old factory flares. On install a few of the new bolts install to places with no access to put the nuts on the bolts. Had to use sheet metal screw. Things were much easier when I took the tires off for better access. Took me 6 hrs to install. If I did it again probably half that. Now that I have done this I would be able to help someone else.
Flares look good installed and were easy to install once old ones were off!! Rear flares do not cover where old flares were, so the wear from old ones is visible
Not to bad of an install. Had problems installing turn signal relocator that comes with the fender liners but other than that not too bad. Fenders are light weight and fairly durable but after about a year now I am starting to get some cracks and chips (especially with snow buildup this year)About what I expected for fenders at this price point but will probably upgrade to steel fenders nxt time around
I spoke to a consultant and found out that this product will not come with instructions. It's basically for highly skilled and seasoned modifiers. After talking with the consultant I realized these would not fit a four-door Cherokee and probably not a Cherokee at all. Definitely would try them on a CJ or wrangler, that would be a lot easier install.
Good looking fender flares that look as good as more expensive versions. Provide coverage for oversized tires and wider axles.
they keep my jeep a lot cleaner
Will these completely cover a 33x12.5 tire? In PA, the state inspection requires that tires not stick out past the fender flares.
Asked by Brandyn from PA on
Hi Brandyn, This Rugged Ridge All Terrain Fender Flare Set is 5" wide so they provide adequate coverage on 12.5" tires, unless your wheels have a negative back spacing making the tires stick out past the flairs. Thanks for your inquiry.
