Rampage recovery bumpers - day or night, this lighted tough bumper gives the off-road enthusiast some serious protection! Engineered for off-road use and rock crawling abuse! Custom welded shackle mounts with 3/4 inch clevis d-rings included. Heavy-duty bumper features protective dual stage, durable powder-coat finish and a 3/16 inch steel plate design with two 4 inch light openings for a custom look. Recovery bumper has two 4 inch light receptacles '“ lights sold separately. Can be used with or without a hitch - does not work with the factory hitch.
Installation requires 3 people or lifting equipment. The bumper came powder coated smooth finish. The tire carrier came with a textured finish. The carrier has nothing to latch it to the bumper,it squeaks. It is attached to the tailgate with a turnbuckle that was offset up and down it was hard to adjust. I would recommend the bumper without the tire carrier.
Rubbed on the body when installed. NO attachments to the original frame horns. Bent like foil when it was used as a recovery point. Optional tow hitch says "NOT to be used for for towing"... WHAT? The JCR bumper that pulled me out laughed all week about this. Save your money and buy something AMERICAN made. Now to see if it's covered under any kind of waranty.....
I installed this bumper about four weeks ago. It was packaged well and easy to assemble. It is a bit tedious to install because of the bolt locations. After a few weeks of use I feel I can give my honest opinion. Pros- heavy duty, styling and lines look great, useful recovery points, light pockets, heavy tire carrier. Cons- powder coat wasn't very tough, installation, non rampage lights were a bit tricky to install, had to fabricate a third brake light bracket. Overall I like this bumper. I will eventually take it off and paint it in bedliner black. It seems to be able to handle some abuse. I would recommend it to anyone.

What light kit(s) will work with this rear bumper? How do you run the wires from the back of the Jeep to hook this up? The instructions show the lights for the front bumper.
Asked by John from Northern CA on
Hi John, This Rampage Recovery Rear Bumper with D-ring and Light Mounts uses 4" lights, here's a nice set that will fit and does not require wiring. Thanks for a great question. http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Lighting-Jeep-Lighting-Accessories/4-0-H-I-D-Wireless-Driving-Light-Kit.aspx?t_c=14&t_s=448&t_pt=4242&t_pn=WAR82400

Hi, Is the receiver hitch tow rated? Thank you
Asked by Dan from Carson City, Nv. on
Hi Dan, This rear bumper from Rampage has a 2" receiver built in, however the manufacturer on it has not listed if it's tow rated or not. Typically recovery bumpers are not Class III rated. Thank you for your inquiry.
