The Rampage Frameless Trail Top installs over the original equipment factory roll bar for a snug fit without the need for additional bows or support hardware. This unique design allows for larger side windows and improved visibility with removable side and rear windows that quickly convert the soft top into an open safari top.
Top is good quality. My only complaint was the instructions, they are very poor and dont give you much help as far as installing it goes. Top is very quiet on the interstate and doesnt flap. I also looked at the Soft topper brand but am glad I went with the Rampage.
Had this top on a 99 TJ and loved it! However I got rid of the TJ and got a new JK and as soon a I saw they finally made it for them I was on board! Its awesome to be able to store the windows without just stuffing them behind the back seat and scratching them! Super easy to install (15-20 mins including removal of previous top). I am experiencing some minor leaks though around the header channel. Nothing serious and it does not occur when actually driving. But all in all great product!
Zipper ends disintegrated. side curtains ripped at seperation at lower plastic insert. rear window, upper securing strap ends need to be cut on a diagonal to expedite installation.(poor design) Rear, top tie downs don't like the sun.(wrong material) Curtain/window storage system is a pain to use.
The first time you install it, it take a while. you have to stretch out the top, adjust it, re stretch, adjust again, etc. It was right around the 70 degree mark so i had to run the heater to help soften the material. After the first time it is simple to adjust. Since i have an 05 LJ, I wish the top would come in more colors than just black. Also, i believe because of the curved end caps on the required windshield channel there is a ton of wind noise at the front cover. I am used to wind noise in a jeep soft top, just not from the front corners.
The fact that it is cheap is great but I wish I went with some better built. Forget about folding the back and sides in on itself because you would have some major sag. I ended up putting my own cross beams in the back just to tighten it up. Also hooks that connect the top to the rear dont fit well and I have had to bang them in. It is also extremely noisy, even for a Jeep. Just the safari top is great however and that works great. If you can keep you Jeep indoors with just the top on it isn't bad. Still, you have to be careful with it and make sure everything is in place when putting it together.
The straps dry rot quickly and are made of poor quality material. For the price this product should have lasted a lot longer. The top just started to slowly fall apart after a year of use. No replacement available and now having to buy another top. :(

I really like the design of the top and how it looks. it was a little hard to install at first tho. I bought the sail cloth and it was kinda a pain to make it stretch, over all the top is sweet. looks awesome super quiet and I love that I can now hide the windows in the top when I take them out. The only thing I don't like is the after market windshield channel I got. I don't think it was a rampage but it didn't contore to the window. the ends raised up about a half of an inch. so I drilled holes used a self taping screw and it lays down now lol. with the top on u cant see the screws and with the top off u still cant. I used a little black touch up and they disappeared. over all I love this top. it looks awesome its super quiet on the road, even at 90 mph on the freeway u get almost no wind noise. over all I would def recommend this to a friend.
Zippers for back window can be hard to zip back on but not impossible. I would rather have the top be a little tight so it doesn't smack up and down in the wind. Very cool that you can configure the top in a few different ways. Overall happy with my purchase. I was expecting a soft top and got a soft top.
Quality product. It does not fit with the aftermarket rollbar reinforcement parts that I previously installed. However, once I modified/moved those, it went on easily. It fits nice and snug and looks great.
I purchased this product but need to know what hardware is essential to place this on my 2017 Jk Sport Unlimited. I have a hard top and am using this for the summer season. Overall really impressed with the product just can't wait to put it on and have no idea what is needed. Thanks!

Does this come with the upper door skins? If not, I haven't found Rampage brand upper door skins. What brand would match the material/color of the Rampage top?

Gulf Coast Girl, the Rampage Bowless Soft Top does not come with upper doors. You can find the matching ones here: http://www.4wd.com/eSearch.aspx/Rampage?N=1z13x1fZ16vi3Z1z13yvg&Ntk=primary&Ntt=upper+door Thanks for the question!
