The frameless soft top installs over the original equipment factory roll bar for a snug fit without the need for additional bows. This unique design allows room for larger windows and improved visibility with removable side and rear windows that quickly zipper out to transform into a safari top. Windows use a heavy-duty zipper and store inside a special separation panel between the ceiling and rooftop that is concealed. Note: requires windshield header, factory door surrounds and tailgate bar.
I really like the design of the top and how it looks. it was a little hard to install at first tho. I bought the sail cloth and it was kinda a pain to make it stretch, over all the top is sweet. looks awesome super quiet and I love that I can now hide the windows in the top when I take them out. The only thing I don't like is the after market windshield channel I got. I don't think it was a rampage but it didn't contore to the window. the ends raised up about a half of an inch. so I drilled holes used a self taping screw and it lays down now lol. with the top on u cant see the screws and with the top off u still cant. I used a little black touch up and they disappeared. over all I love this top. it looks awesome its super quiet on the road, even at 90 mph on the freeway u get almost no wind noise. over all I would def recommend this to a friend.
Zippers for back window can be hard to zip back on but not impossible. I would rather have the top be a little tight so it doesn't smack up and down in the wind. Very cool that you can configure the top in a few different ways. Overall happy with my purchase. I was expecting a soft top and got a soft top.
This top is terrible. I wish I had spent the extra money on a best top. The seams for the side windows are on top of the Jeep about 6 inches in over the roll bar. I can barely reach the zippers with 6 inches of total lift. Can't get the zippers started without a small step ladder. The back window Is the same and I almost need to stand inside the Jeep to start the zipper. The top was hard to install...and before you wonder, yes it was hot that day. It was around 80 degrees. There are straps that come down the back roll bar on the outside that clip through the top and into your body channel. The front lip is the lip type, like the OEM top on the old CJs. Had to buy a windshield header bar to put this top on. It is going to be way too much work to try and get this full top back on if I ever take it off, so I doubt that will ever happen now. That was my favorite part in the summer time, but that's gone. Where the seams come together, there are big holes. It's gonna be cold this winter. The back window is "sealed" with velcro....really guys?
Debated the Rampage for TWO YEARS because of Reviews I read. But with anything, you'll read SOME BAD as well as GOOD. When 4WD offered the SAILCLOTH Top with a FREE HEADER and FREE SHIPPING, I opted to take the plunge ! Being on fixed income, you tend to jump on Deals, AND WITH NO REGRETS, It was a great decision. Saved Money, easy install, Highest quality, NO LEAKS, FAST SIMPLE UP / DOWN, or ON / OFF
I replaced my factory soft top with this one. I had a bikini top, wind jammer, and duster deck cover. I didn't want to mess with the framing, so I tried this. Very happy I did!
Own a 97 Wrangler TJ and need to know if I need the windshield header channel, tailgate bar replacement, and the door surround kit?
Asked by Card "O" from on
Hello, The Rampage Bowless Sailcloth Soft Top does require all three of those parts. If you have a soft top the only extra part needed would be the header channel. I will put a link below to the door surrounds and the tailgate bar in case you have a hardtop. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Hello, I have the OEM windshield channel for the OEM Bikini Top. Do I still need to buy the other windshield header channel for this top to work? Thanks

Hello! As long as you have a header channel that you can remove the bikini top from you'll be all set!
