These replacement tie rod end boots are the perfect way to help keep dirt and rime out of your steering components and add a little detail to your vehicle.
This concerns the Prothane tie-rod end boot kit for the CJ-7(part #D/I19-1712). These are made of thick, sturdy polyurethane in the usual red-orange color. They fit tightly over the shaft, but the lip, or skirt, is not as tight as I would expect, and is too long so it butts up against the tie rod part. This causes the edge of the boot to deform and pushes the whole boot to the side and it sits off-center. Perhaps I wound up with the wrong part, but the website pulled up this part for the CJ-7 and didn't show any other alternative, so that's what I got. Or, this may be the way it's supposed to work, but it looks sloppy. I would recommend, but with a caveat as to the fit.
Will this boot fit the drag link ball joint at the Pitman arm?

Will this work with an '03 rubicon? One of your pages says it does, another page says that it does not.
