Twin tube design and 10 stage velocity sensitive valving delivers a smooth, comfortable high ride, but also enhances off road handling and performance. A 1 3/8 nylon banded full displacement piston head and double welded shock mounts ensure maximum strength and long lasting durability; 14.71 in. extended; 9.56 in. collapsed
Had to trim 1/2" off the shortest supplied bushing sleeve, and a 1/4" off each side of bushing in order to fit. Could not reuse factory bushing (too narrow for the boss on bottom of shock). Bottom boss is also wider than stock. I don't like having barely an 1/8th inch of rubber between shock boss and mount on control arm. Time will tell if I get metal to metal up front. Boo on fittment and hardware.
I replaced all for oem shocks with these pro comps on a Ford F-250 SD. The ride is firm but not too stiff, perfect for my hunting rig. I only wish it came with new hardware as some of my bolts arent in the best condition.
I've got a 03 hummer h2 that I take off road every weekend hillclimbs,Baja style racing, and just playing around in the mud and these shocks made all the difference now I can hit faster speeds over bumps and rocks whereas with the stocks I had to slowdown a lot which sucks with such a heavy truck so I recommend these shocks all day....
