The Powertrax No-Slip Traction Systems are the latest design in traction-adding differential technology. They combine the smooth operation of a limited-slip differential with the traction performance of a locking differential. A precise synchronization mechanism eliminates the ratcheting sounds typical of other locking differentials. Installation is simple because no ring and pinion setup is required. In addition, no special tools or oils are needed.

would this be better for the front axle or rear for a 01 jeep Cherokee

kodaty, the Power Trax Dana 30 27 Spline Open Case No-Slip does not fit the rear axle on your Cherokee, so it will have to be used on the front. Thanks for the question!

is this an auto locker? looking at parts it appears to be an auto locker but the wording in the description makes it sound to be a hybrid limited slip.

Hi Squirrely The Dana 30 Powertrax No-Slip Traction System is more of a limited slip type locker on turns but is still locked up under acceleration. It is more forgiving on turns and not quite as rough operating as the standard Lock Right. Thanks
