Poison Spyder Customs BFH™ front bumper is designed for those hardcore four-wheelers who value strength, simplicity and function. This bumper was literally "Built For the Hammers" with the best ground clearance, tire clearance and approach angle possible. It is no wider than the Jeep's frame rails, with angled facets to improve its ability to slide over the rocks. The BFH™ bumper is CNC laser-cut from a single piece of high strength 3/16 inch plate steel, then precision brake-formed for an exact fit. The BFH™ bumper features an integrated winch mount and one-piece design.
All BFH™ Bumpers are fabricated from 100% cold, hard steel. Some manufacturers have begun producing aluminum bumpers in order to "save weight", but at a mere 35 pounds, the BFH™ is among the lightest bumpers on the market, and you sacrifice none of the strength or durability you would with an aluminum bumper. Even fully outfitted with Brawler Bar and Heavy Duty Shackle Tabs, the BFH™ weighs only 43 pounds!
The Brawler Bar is a lower-profile Stinger, fashioned after the 2-bend Stinger featured on our Original RockBrawler bumper for JK. The Brawler Bar features the most versatile combination of trail protection and a lower profile for easier access to the engine compartment, fitment into garages and trailers, etc. Plus it looks bad-ass! The Brawler Bar extends 7.4 inch forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 9.8" high from the top surface of the bumper.
The Trail Stinger is similar in proportion to the famous Poison Spyder Trail Stinger. This time-honored design has proven itself on hundreds of Jeeps over the past decade, providing simple, clean lines along with a measure of forward-flop protection. The Trail Stinger extends 13.4 inch forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 17 inch high from the top surface of the bumper.
The Comp Stinger for the BFH™ front bumper matches the lines of our stand-alone Comp Stingers. For those getting into the more hard-core aspects of the sport, the Comp Stinger provides even better forward-roll prevention, as well as increased protection of the radiator area and engine compartment in the event of a rollover. The Comp Stinger extends 17.6 inch forward from the front edge of the bumper, and 21.9 inch high from the top surface of the bumper.
The optional Heavy Duty Recovery Shackle Tabs are machined from 1 inch thick plate steel to provide a secure attachment point for 3/4 inch recovery shackles. These tabs are specifically engineered to match the angles of the BFH™ bumper to result in zero loss in approach angle.
The JK BFH Disco Skid is a bolt-on skid plate to protect the factory electric swaybar disconnect motor on JK's. In stock form this motor hangs low, making it vulnerable to rocks and trail hazards. The BFH Disco Skid protects it, but also comes with hardware and instructions to rotate the motor upward, further out of harm's way. Like the BFH bumper, the Disco Skid is made of CNC laser-cut 3/16 inch plate steel and is designed to be a great looking, functional addition to the JK BFH bumper.
The Winch Fairlead Mount is a separate piece (bolt-on, not weld-on) that mounts between your winch and the BFH™ bumper to provide a secure mounting surface for the winch fairlead. Note that the BFH™ bumper already has an integrated winch mount, but this piece is needed in order to mount a Hawse or roller fairlead. Poison Spyder billet aluminum hawse fairleads and fairlead light mounts are also available.
Whether you keep it simple or customize it with all the options, the BFH™ front bumper is a serious bumper for hardcore wheeling!
It’s looks awesome and is made strong. Does not come with the D-Rings used for towing. They are sold separately. Already has the holes to add a winch. Also the Fairlead Mount for the winch is sold separately.
Love the bumper fit really well but there's one thing they should think about I have 1997 tj with tube fenders and with this bumper i cut two 4 1/4 holes in it to fit blinker/ parking lights in it and we'll looks good plus it gives you two holes to put bolts on the winch so don't have to mount it first but anyway really good quality for the money
Poison Spyder is the best you can get. This front bumper and stinger comes welded together and the install is super easy. We initially had issues because of the inconsistency with how the TJ's front stock bumpers were produced so we called poison spyder directly to find out what the issue was. We were sent directly to their tech guy who walked us through how to fix it. Amazing customer service.
I replaced my ARB Bull bar with this bumper. With the bull bar I was always tagging trees coming thru tight trails with 3 point turns. This bumper clears obstacles much better while still protecting the grill and winch. Just wish it had a powdercoating option form the mfr. would also make a lot more sense to have an integrated mount for the winch fairlead.
This bumper is great. Well built. Fits great.
Great bumper. A little pricy for not being powdercoated but for the money, best pumper you can buy. Plus it looks great
Worst part is the price shipping, but 4WD Hardware is having a free shipping sale, so I went for it!
What components would I need to fit a winch to this bumper? or does it come with everything I need?
Asked by TJmadness from on
Hi TJmadness, This Poison Spyder Customs BFH Front Bumper with Shackle Tabs and Trail Stinger in Bare Steel has a built in winch mount, you won't need anything separate to install a winch on this bumper. Great question, thanks for your inquiry.
