The Armorcoat finish is superb. However, the hardware (clamps, bolts, washers, springs, flanges) supplied is regular steel that will just rust and turn brown and look like [*] right next to the beautifully finished headers and "y"-pipe. Pacesetter customer service said it was just too expensive to provide stainless steel hardware. The headers also came with two bungs already welded in. One bung is for the O2 sensor and the other is for an EGR outlet. The O2 sensor hole can easily be plugged if you don't need it, but the EGR port is another matter. With another call to Pacesetter "customer service", I was told they had no plug for the bung and he had no idea where I might find one. He said the header is designed as a "universal" fit for a number of model years and the EGR bung may or may not be needed on all applications. I was also told this was not the first time he had heard this concern, so maybe it was time to address the issue. To summarize; when you pay a premium for the Armorcoat finish, you should expect a little more, but you sure don't get it. If the company knows the EGR bung is an ongoing issue, then why don't they address it? In this economy, it's the details that can make or break a company. Pacesetter needs to fix the details.
