I understand, I think, widetrack vs shorttrack but how do I determine if my jeep has widetrack or short track?

If your Jeep is 1982-1986, then it is almost definitely a wide-trac. If you want to make sure, you can measure between your spring perch and backing plate. If it is a wide-trac, it should be about 4-5 inches. If it is a narrow-trac, it will be significantly less. I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to submit further questions. Thanks!
