1 Answered questionHow many teeth does this gear have? I have replaced the gear, but the starter ( supposably ) rebuilt chewed on ring gear. The gear I have has 164 teeth. What starter do you recommend I replace it with? 79 jeep cj5 inline 6 258 4.2L one barrel.

Never2old, the Omix-Ada Flywheel Ring Gear has 164 teeth on it. So it will work just fine.
