When ordering do I need to order for both sides or does it come as a pair?

Is this a bolt on part? Or do you need to cut out exiting frame sections and weld these in? Does the lower part have nut welded on to accept rear shackle bolts?

Hello! These are weld on plates, They go over the old frame for extra reinforcement. The lower plates only have the hole slots in them to bolt the shackles on. Thanks!

my jeep frame has cracks in it , at the front of the spring mounts on the rear axel.. will these plates, reinforce that area of the frame?

If you are refering to the area where the shackles mount to the frame, then yes this would reinforce that area.
