This item is NOT to protect the marker lights found in the fenders, but rather are for use on the turn signals on the '07-'14 JK Wranglers.
Was a simple install- the hardest part was getting the headlights undone to install the guards on them, but that was because of the age of my vehicle, and no reflection on the part itself. Instructions could be a little clearer for the taillight guards, but otherwise simple and easy to follow. Looks great and keep all but the smallest stones from smacking the lights.
These guards caught my eye because they look pretty unique. I can't say I've actually seen another Jeep with these guards on it. Unfortunately, after ordering them and installing them, I figured out why. The tail light mesh began falling apart about a week or two after I got it (and I hadn't even done any offroading yet). The front turn signal covers are flimsy; no real way to mount them and make them more solid than just driving screws through them. They also could've added a few screws to help. Using the stock screws in order to mount these guards means you're putting less of the threads into the housing. I wasn't comfortable with that, but gave them a go anyway. I returned them when the tail light began falling apart.
I have a 2004 Rubicon with chrome tail light guards. How do i remove them to change the turn signal bulb.

Hello, You would need to take the whole assembly off to change the bulb. I don't think the slots on the guard are wide enough for you to fit the bulb through there. You would just need to remove the 4 screws off the taillight lens. And then remove the 3 bolts that secure the housing and the guard. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you!
