Our shock mounted lights began with the famous KC Daylighter? that we invented and patented in 1972. Not only does the Daylighter? use a heavy-duty rubber gasket (bulb holder) that isolates the lens, reflector, and bulb from the metal housing and elements of weather, but it also includes our patented shock mounting system. The KC HiLiTES shock mounting system was developed as a way to isolate the lamp unit from the mounting bracket or surface to which the light is mounted. This system successfully reduces lamp failure due to vibration and has been proven through the extremes of off road racing. Now, the shock mount system has been updated from the original to require no extra drilling.
I’d been looking at these lights for a long time, but the price kept me away. Finally pulled the trigger and I’m glad I did. They provide a huge improvement in visibility over stock, especially if you’re still running stock headlights. You have to remove the grill to install these, which isn’t mentioned in the instructions, but even with that the install was super easy.
This was a great addition to my JK after putting a 30 in. on the hood. You do get a lot of wind noise but that is expected.
looked good and performed well. The covers are a little loose fitting, hope they dont fall off. Going to order another set.

Chris, the KC HiLites 4" Gravity LED Fog Light System is a kit so it will have a switch and the wiring and the 2 lights. Hope this helps!

Does this light come with a cover?
Asked by Barb from Mount Eden, ky on
Barb, the KC HiLites 2"x6" All Season Driving and Fog Light is just the light. You will need to get a cover separately for it. Hope this helps!
