Insane Audio is proud to present the JK1001 - the first fully Android powered head unit specifically designed for your Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. The JK1001 is easy to install, fits perfectly in your dash and will even connect to your stock wiring harness. It comes preloaded with Insane NavEngine, our legendary navigation software that includes rich, high definition 3D maps with full topography, off-road trails, turn-by-turn directions and more. Includes a microSD card slot so you can store up to 64 GB of music or movies onboard with no moving parts and no skipping when you are bouncing down the trail. iPOD cable, USB inputs, multiple aux inputs and outputs, Bluetooth phone and media streaming, etc. The JK1001 also interfaces directly with your Jeeps ECU allowing you to view engine fault codes, clear check engine lights and view live OBD engine data on the display. Basically, Insane Audios new JK1001 comes with everything you need to rock your rig. The Insane Audio unite connects directly to the Jeeps canbus and works with the steering wheel controls right out of the box. What's even better is that you can use the unit to re-program the steering wheel buttons should you want them to function differently. Sirius radio connectivity is not built into unit, but you can download and install the Sirius Android App or connect an external receiver through the aux input.
This head-unit is way overpriced. I am not sure how this cost is justifiable. The boot time for this unit is around 30 seconds every-time you turn on the car. Annoying. This is android based, meaning the apps you have on it will eventually no longer be supported unless Insane Audio continues to support this head unit and provide future OS upgrades. Sirius Sat. is not available and requires needless set-up to have Sirius Sat. There are other units available, for less money and do more such as Apple Car play and Android Mirror Link. This unit should be priced at $599. I uninstalled mine and put in a Pioneer AVIC 5100. Much cheaper and WAY better unit.
Love this thing. Dropped right in took less than half an hour and works awesome. Highly recommend it over the stock Jeep Navi system.
I am really digging this Insane Audio unit!!! I've NEVER had a stereo that had so many features in it. If you are an Android cell phone user, just picture having everything that your phone has and can do on the dash of your Jeep. I am really still just learning the unit and I'm finding new things that it has or can do everyday. The navigation is really neat. Having the 3D maps is cool, I only wish I lived around some better terrain to see the cool views better. Kind of flat in Florida.
This radio does everything the company claims right out of the box! Interfaces perfectly with steering wheel controls and sounds incredible. The minor issues I had initially were addressed within one business day and resolved soon after. You may pay a bit more for this unit compared to other systems but the extra cost is worth every penny; the unit is fantastic and the customer service is the best I have experienced in a very long time. The user forum has some great advice and ideas to stretch the capabilities of an already wicked radio system!
VERY COOL. Installation was less then 30min and it came with everything you need. Plugs right in. Love the nav software with 3D topography. Came with a bluetooth OBDII adapter and displays all kinds of info on the dash. The fact that this runs android is awesome. You can download your own apps.
When I saw this online, I knew I had to have it and was not disappointed when I finally got it yesterday. Insane NavEngine, the navigation software that comes with it is fantastic. Nice 3D representation with topography. I took it out on the trail this morning and all my usual trails showed up on the screen. I've only had a chance to play around with some of the features but this thing is packed with cool stuff. There are 3 screens of apps on it and you can download more. Best thing I did for my JK since I added lockers!
Is there any way to mount this system into a 2000 Wrangler Sport TJ by modifying the dash, a conversion trim kit or any other method? Thank you!

Will this work as a replacement to the 2006 jeep commander ltd 5.7L stereo/ navigation unit that also has the rear entertainment package? Looking to replace the black screen of death.

HI Jeep voodoo the Insane Jeep Audio In-dash Navigation and Multimedia Entertainment System will not work with your jeep commander. Insane audio is not showing one that will work with your jeep. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Thanks,
