The locking knob is a must have for any hood mount. Adjustable tube mount, 4XRAC, or LOC-RAC owner. The locking knob replaces an existing knob or wing nut provided on Hi-Lift Jack mounting accessories. Once tightened, the locking knob can be locked with the provided key. Once locked, the locking knob spins freely and cannot be removed, securing the Hi-Lift Jack in the mount. There are two size locking knobs available one model (HM-LK) fits Hood Mounts only. The other model (VERS-LK) fits Adjustable Tube Mounts, 4XRACs, and Loc-Racs. The VERS-LK can also be used to secure and lock the Unique Winch-Clamp-Spreader Attachment that comes only with the Hi-Lift X-TREME Jacks.
My Hi-Lift jack is mounted on a Rockhard rear bumper with the swing away tire carrier. This lock appears to work well, but the true test would come from a large hammer on the spinning knob.
This was the last piece i needed to make my custom Hi-Lift jack mount work. Designed my own mount for the rear of my daughter's CJ-7 and was trying to figure how to reduce theft potential when I stumbled on this item. It WORKED PERFECT!!!
Item does not work with the Hi-Lift, Roll Cage Mount - RC-875. Although the product worked as intended, it did not fit, specific to the nut pattern on this product being too big for the bolt pattern on the roll cage mount. Not sure why they wouldn't make them all the same size...
Will this work with the Hi-Lift 2" - 3" Adjustable Tube Mount?
