My jeep is pretty close to stock as far as lift and tire sizes go and trying to jack up my jeep to put it on stands to do work on it with the tiny little bottle jack issued with the jeep was almost hilarious. This Hi-Lift jack made it so simple. Jeep should put something like this, standard with the vehicle.
what is the differences between the, black cast and steel model compared to the, red cast model

They are very similar. According to the vendor, "The cast and steel jack is exactly the same as the all-cast jack except that it has 4 stamped high-strength steel parts. We stamp and form the parts in-house; that allows us to offer the jack at a lower price, yet we still maintain the rigid quality standards that every Hi-Lift product must meet." I hope this information is helpful. Thanks!

Does this come with parts to mount?

Greetings! This part is for the Hi-Lift Jack only, and it does not come with any kind of mounting hardware. We do offer several Hi-Lift mounting solutions, but it really depends on the model of Jeep you have. Take a look at these search results and find your Jeep model there. http://www.4wd.com/search.aspx?kw=jack+mount

Hi-Lift Jack's parent company Bloomfield Manufacturing was founded over 100 years ago and today Indiana-headquartered Hi-Lift produces jacks capable of lifting, winching, clamping, pulling and pushing. The Handyman or Sheepherder's jack was the Hi-Lift's original name and jeepers trust these accessories out on the trail in a variety of scenarios. Their trail jacks offer a rated capacity of 4,660 lbs. and a tested capacity of 7,000 lbs. and they are lightweight and easy to maneuver. We also carry tow straps and jack mount kits as well as storage options for trail jacks. Rely on a brand that has withstood the test of time to withstand the tests that come with off-roading.
