"This kit replaces the factory drum brakes with a direct bolt-in disc brake package for improved stopping power. Kit includes dual drilled rotors to accept 5 on 4.5" and 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern, calipers, all necessary brackets to fit the Dana 35, Dana 44 & Chrysler 8.25" housings found in Jeep vehicles. It also includes an internal drum parking brake for better holding power. Emergency brake cables sold separately."
If you have ABS, you will not be able to mount your sensors for the rear, resulting in a constant ABS light on your dash. You can still stop. This also does not include the emergency brake cables as stated. I would have liked to see the fact that it does not work with ABS listed as I would have not purchased this and spent the afternoon installing it. I also have not seen any mention of proportion valve changes being necessary or not. You dont really need shorter hard lines you can bend them out of the way or cut and flare them shorter. Installed onto Chrysler 8.25 in about 2 hours. directions are simple and straightforward as are the parts. so far everything works well.
Very easy install and performance is awesome stops great
the only issue I encountered was that the factory steel 15" wheels dont have the proper backspacing to fit over the calipers,I had to install 5/8" spacers to clear.,and lengthen the wheel studs to accomadate the spacers. Kit works awesome with no master cylinder issues at all.
I think the cost is too high 300$ would be good . I have 15in wheels fits np about 1in clear of brake cal If u have abs u will not be able to used abs. The gold bolts are not for stock they are for g2 axels Over all I like them if u got the money there worth it. Easy to put on the directions are hard to understand so I did not look at them lol
