Hi I have a series 3 Land Rover With a Salisbury rear end. From what I have read this is a Dana 60. I want to change the ratio from 4.7 to 4.1 will this crown wheel and pinion do the job Thanks Regards Steve

Asked by Steve from Wallan Australia on

Hello The gear does fit the Rover Salisbury axle but you would have a case change. The carriers are for 410 and down the other is for 456 and up. So on your carrier you could only go to a 456 gears. We don't have a lot of information on the Rover Dana 60's over here. Thanks

sorry about that, its a dodge ram 2500 with dana 60, auto with overdrive, no lift, just 33s, its 360 5.9 v8

Asked by Ryan from Connecticut on

Hi Ryan Yes the 33" tires will drop the final highway rpm as your truck should have a 31" tall tire on it You should be looking at a 150 rpm drop from were you are at now. you may want to look into some 373 gears Thank you

What tire size is this 4:10 matched with? If i have 33's will it knock it down a little bit because of the tire diameter?

Asked by Ryan from Connecticut on

Hi Ryan I need to know more vehicle information before i can make a recommendation; Vehicle type model engine lift existing tire size and existing gear ratio. a 33" tall tire with a 4.10 gear ratio with a 1:1 final transmission ratio ( non overdrive) will give you a 2700 rpm on the highway at 60 mph. Thank You
