G2 Axle & Gear is proud to introduce the new CORE 44 axle housing for 2007 and up Jeep JK Wranglers. Utilizing the strongest and latest generation high pinion Dana 44 gear design, we have developed a whole new housing to handle the heavy loads that would normally bend a stock Dana 30 or Rubicon Dana 44.
The CORE 44 will accept stock Dana 44 ring and pinions, axle shafts, and all aftermarket lockers. The CORE 44 features a unique Adjuster Nut System to easily set backlash and carrier pre-load. The CORE 44 includes heavy duty forged inner C ends, and 3 inch x .250 inch wall tubing to resist bending in even the most extreme conditions. All CORE 44 brackets are laser cut and CNC formed from 3/8 inch steel for added strength, and are designed to allow bolt-in installation.
American-made CORE 44 housings accept the latest generation Dana 44 gear design, with a larger diameter ring gear and bigger pinion shaft to withstand hard off-road use. Our housings feature forged bearing caps and a unique G-lock adjuster nut system to set backlash and carrier bearing preload. CORE 44 axles use additional ribbing on the cast center section and 3-inch diameter, 5/16-wall DOM axle tubes with forged inner Cs for use with tall, aggressive tires.
The CORE 44 is a direct replacement for the Dana 30 under the front of your leaf sprung 87-95 YJ Wrangler or coil sprung 97-06 TJ Wrangler. All brackets are designed around stock mounting points, and are laser cut and CNC formed from 3/8-inch steel for added strength. We have also gusseted and reinforced any weak points to prevent damage to the brackets and finish the housing in a UV-stable black
I have had my Core 44 for a few months now. I have already tried to break this thing and it just comes back for more. However, I went with the Auburn Ected locker and that was a big mistake. I have already replaced that failure with an ARB Locker. If only the E-Locker was available I would have gone that way.
Does this come as shown in the picture? a complete assembly?

Hi Pedro, This G2 Axle and Gear JEEP JK FRONT CORE 44 SAE HOUSING STOCK CASTER 0"-4" LIFT is not an axle assembly, it's the housing for the 44 axle shafts. Thank you for your inquiry.
