for a 98 tj 4.0 whats the difference between the 1500 and the 1300 series? basically I just need to measure the old fan across and match to the size I need? I know I need the 2" spacer as I am replacing a clutch. thanks..

Hello, The Flex-A-Lite High Performance 17" Fan does not work with your year motor. You would require a reverse rotation fan. Also the 4.0 in a TJ has a tight fit. Flex A Lite does not offer one for your model year. I would recommend updating to an electric fan such as BEC75014. You will also need to purchase the standard wiring harness BEC75201. Hope this helps.

can this product be just bolted on to my 96 XJ 4.0 or will it interfere with other components that are stock on the engine?

Hey Leroy, as long as 19-5/16 inch diameter does not hit anything you will able to use this. I hope this answer helps and earns your business. Thanks for your question.
