3 Answered questionsDoes this seal go between the dust shield and axle tube, not by the chunk but on the outside towards the tire. There is nothing on my jeep to compare it with but my axle tube is full of mud and dirt. Thank you for time.

Junior, the Dana Spicer Dana 30 Inner Axle Seal is for inside of the differential. There is no outer axle seal on a Dana 30. Hope this helps!

Are these seals located near the carrier or at the end of the axle tubes? Do I have to remove the carrier to replace them?
