3 Answered questionsI have a 1982 CJ 7. From the description, this is the correct product. When I removed the old cowl seal, i discovered that it was installed using a silicon sealant under the front lip. Is a sealant required or recommended for installation of the new cowl seal? Thanks for the assistance.

Bob, the Crown Automotive Cowl Weather Seal is meant to work alone. The silicone was most likely something someone did to keep it from leaking without changing the seal. Hope this helps!
