I bought this stock arm to replace the 4 inch drop arm on my CJ 5. The jeep has a 4 inch lift and with the drop arm I lost the full turning radius. I put a high steering kit on it and along with the stock arm, which is longer than the drop arm, I regained full turning radius once again. The price was good along with speedy delivery. I am a happy camper.
Recently rebuilt the whole steering system (except steering wheel shaft). My CJ5 is 38 years old and been through multiple owners who tinkered with the steering but did not replace things like tie rods and other parts. The Jeep has power steering so I decided everything need to be replaced with new or rebuilt parts including the steering box, power steering pump, pump pulley, tie rods and tie rod ends, etc. What a difference in steering and handling now. Much less play. The Crown pitman arm is much beefier than what I assume was the stock pitman arm although after 38 years, who knows. It fit perfect.
Will this work with a 2" lift? The only others ones I see are for 4" lifts

Hi Dale, Yes, typically the OEM length pitman arm fits okay on Jeeps with a 0" to 2" suspension lift. Anything taller than that and you'll need a longer, dropped style arm. Thank you for your inquiry.
